Neon Floral

A very belated blog post this evening! Greg and I got caught up watching the latest episode of Game of Thrones and an episode of Community, which we're nearly caught up on (ridiculously). All we did over the weekend was sleep in, watch Community, eat junk food, stay up 'til 8:00 in the morning, and then watch more Community. It was glorious, perfect, and just what I needed out of life.

This dress is a new one from Saturday, the day in which I spent lots and lots of money. They had this dress in a few colors and prints at H&M, but my favorite was this neon floral print on black. I love floral prints most when they're not too utterly girly, and I love the shape of this dress so much! Look forward to seeing it a lot in future.

I'm wearing: H&M dress, belt, and cardi; necklace from Mom.

Not feeling the whole blog thing lately and I'm not sure why. Right now it feels like something I'm just churning out automatically because I should, not because it's something I really really want to do. I mean yeah I'm still enjoying it, otherwise I would just take a break altogether (and I'm wont to do so intermittently), but I'm just distracted by what seems like a million other things. Worrying about grad school, the million shows I'm watching, spending time with Greg, socializing, and whatever other dumb and pointless things I do when I get home from work. I know, it's not like I'm busy doing real things (unlike two weeks ago), but for whatever reason I feel like blogging isn't something I want to put forth a lot of time and effort to do.

No worries, though, I feel like this every once in a while and I'm sure it will pass! It had better, because I have a billion new things to dress up in, huzzah! I am excite.

I love the colors and style of this dress! It also looks cool with your tattoo.

Every blogger deserves a break from blogging now and then. It can be exhausting to be conscious day after day that your outfits and voice will be on display.

First couple weeks of spring/summer were really difficult for me last year. I just gave up blogging almost entirely because suddenly it seems that there's never enough time or motivation. You look awesome though, I'm loving the dress!

I am loving the floral dress you've got on! It's funny how H&M will suck you in and make you spend loads of cash.

*And I totally know that blogging feeling you're going through. I call it Blogging Blues. It will usually pass for me after a week or so.

Yeah, sometimes you just need a break. I totally know how it feels to have a lack of motivation. Anyways, your dress is fabulous. You look awesome. Can't wait to see your other new stuff too!

i get that feeling too sometimes, but it passes and i keep on bloggin. Hope you do too! Oh, I saw Dr. Who on the Today show yesterday and thought of you. That show does look pretty neato. I plan on watching the past few seasons right after I finish the series Deadwood. Any advise on which season I should start on?

Dude. I ABSOLUTELY feel that way about blogging sometimes too. I tend to just take some distance for awhile, and I always seem to come back around. Because ultimately, I kind of love it. :)

Wait a minute, you don't breathe, eat, and exist for blogging???? WHAT?!?!?!

Blogging breaks are totally acceptable. After all, what in the heck are you going to write about if you're constantly in blog land? Just take some breathers and enjoy real life :) Your readers will still be here to read your posts.

The shape of that dress is pretty killer- as is the print. Neons occasionally feel really tacky to me, but the way they look on that dress is just perfection.

Look forward to seeing what else you spent your fortunes on, friend!

i totally feel that way about blogging right now, too. not sure what it is. sometimes i just want to get dressed without thinking really hard (because thinking really hard in the morning is the equivalent of like, brain constipation) about whether or not i've worn that same combination before or recently or whatever. and i've been kind of an insomniac lately, which makes mornings that much more difficult.

but don't stop! i'd be sad.

I had a hard week capped off by a horrible Friday so I treated myself to a break and watched the first episode of the Sherlock series on BBC. Holy moly it was AWESOME! Thanks for recommending it!

Nice print. And we all go through periods of ebbing enthusiasm. Post when you like and not when you don't. Forcing it isn't good. I suspect your enthusiasm will return.

I feel you dude. I want to blog so much and I miss it when I am gone but this year has left me so drained and I feel like my outfits suck and I feel like when I am on twitter that I totally have no idea what is going on with everyone's life. I miss you guys! *sad face*.
