So... I don't really like the color green in clothes. I like it in nature, and in salads, and especially absinthe. But not so much clothes... and I can't figure out why. It makes me feel sickly, or moldy somehow. I can't figure out what gave me this absurd state of mind! Can you? Well, despite my green aversion, I bought this dress at Target a while back. It was the only color I saw the dress in besides black, and it seemed like a nice fall color. So I bought it. I wish it was a different color, but I love the style so much that I will suffer through a day of wearing green. Just for this dress.
I'm wearing: Target dress and tights, Old Navy flats, Urban Outfitters bag, Ralph Lauren sunglasses.
I splurged on a $15 tripod yesterday, and I've decided from now on I'll try to take photos on my lunch hour in this nearby park. Yay! Thoughts on how it turned out? I wanted to have a more "nature" background but it was so bright outside that I had to go into the shade and use this silly wall as my backdrop. I apparently like white brick walls as backdrops.
And now I must go eat food or I may pass out on the couch here.

Okay, I just have to share this thought with you, because I don't know that many people who would appreciate it: if Amy Pond were visiting the 1930s, she would wear Nadinoo. Am I correct? I think I am.
(also, cute dress!)
I think the pictures turned out great! I got a $15 tripod and it broke the next week but I managed some how to keep it working. Then I realized that I already had one. Hah. Whoops!
Ps - Love the lace for fall. And such a great color!
Ok I'm a big advocate of green clothes, and wish I had more of them in my closet. With that being said, I think you pull of this dress SO SO SO well. The color looks amazing on you, the cut looks amazing, and I think maybe you and green should become friends.

PS Why didn't I find this at Target?!
Tripod success!!! The pictures look great- and that last one is just adorable.
Green looks good on you! At least in the pictures, so maybe you'll have to try it out a bit more to see if you get used to it. :)

I think that dress is awesome! I'm with you on green tho - I always think I'll like it and then never wear whatever I bought (green tights...) because I just don't like green clothes.
I love green eyeshadow tho! *is weird*
This is such a neat dress! After you started talking about not liking to wear green, I was thinking it wasn't so bad, then it dawned on me that I don't even own any green. haha
I guess it's just a tricky color.
I really like this entire outfit!
I think the photos turned out great with the tripod. Pictures usually do turn out better in the shade rather than the sun, so good call.
You look so darling--that third pic is adorable. You are so petite! Makes me want to hug you!!
Love,
Mom
I just saw you on Lookbook, and saw you had a blog, so I came to check it out, and the title is a DOCTOR WHO REFERENCE! :D I'm taking this as a sign that I should follow you. <3
I really like the green, it suits you nicely! Maybe you could dye it to a rich purple or something if you don't like the colour so much? c: xx
Wow! That's a really cheap tripod. I'm jealous! But I think it's good you got one so you don't have to endanger your camera by doing balancing acts. XDD
I love the green of your dress on the grass! I thought it looks cute, and the lace of this dress is very pretty~
I think the green suits you really well, works with your dark hair. It's a lovely shape as well so good find.
your earrings are the best! and personally i think the green looks brill on you. goes well with your hair :D
oh man i'm considering saving up for one of those gorilla tripods that have like flexible legs. i hear they're like $20 and super handy, but then again my boyfriend is also willing to take photos for me although he is not very good. hmm, difficult choice.
also when you take photos of yourself does it annoy you having to run back and forth to press the self-timer button? O: or are you just like magically patient.
xx
First off, I'm glad to see you back with an outfit post!
Ahhh your dress SO amazing for work, I'm jealous! I love this dress, long sleeve lace, yes please? I think the color is amazing and you look amazing in it. So maybe this dress is your gateway green. :)
Great spot! If I had time for a true lunch break, I'd sleep in more in the morning and take my outfit pics then :P Lucky girl :)
