Questions

Some days you have a super good idea for an outfit, and that outfit just does not perform as expected. And you end up with frumpy outfit photos. For me, that day was today. I don't really know what I was thinking with this outfit. At any rate, I was thinking it would turn out a bit better than it did! Oh well, here's to experimenting with my remaining clean clothes, at any rate.

I'm wearing: Old Navy top and scarf, F21 skirt, Target flats and tights.

I am currently obsessed with Peggle, Eric Northman (when was I ever not obsessed), and the new Gap logo. I don't know why. All day yesterday I followed the Gap drama as it unfolded across the interwebs. It filled me with joy and amusement. Is Gap serious? Did they design a shitty logo just so they could creepily crowdsource for a new one? Is it all a publicity stunt, aimed at attracting angry Gap "fans" to their facebook page? Or is Gap really just that stupid and lacking in taste? Who knows, but it excites me.

I'm really craving French fries and beer, but I have a feeling that won't be happening tonight. And if it does, I will just regret all the calories and money spent. Why can't life just be a lovely oasis full of endless money and zero weight gain? Why can't I travel in time? Why can't everything be a sci fi novel? Questions.

I can see why it looks that way, since most of their artwork (like the huge people-sized ads for their 1969 Jeans) uses Helvetica. I also looked at their website and it has Helvetica splattered all over the place. (BOLD ITALIC! HOLY COW I WILL USE THIS!)

But I will admit that it is kind of unoriginal, and they could have done a liiiiitle better.

I also found the new Myspace logo when I googled 'Gap logo' and I laughed a little inside. Oh man.

I think you are being too hard on yourself. That's quite a nice outfit and these are lovely photos. I do know the feeling though. The other day I got to work and realized I was dressed like Vanessa Huxtable, and about an hour into the work day I realized that it wasn't really a good thing, and I wished I hadn't worn every piece of vintage 80s clothing I own.

Aw, I actually think your outfit looks kind of cute! Your shoes and scarf are adorable!

And I too would like to know why we can't travel in time yet, and why life isn't more like a sci-fi novel. If you find out solutions to those problems, let me know! ;D

I worked at Gap for five years! I'm gonna have to do some web browsing.

I really want your skirt and scarf! You look like a collegiate darling.

PS- I love Gap, but they are notorious for making bad decisions... I've suffered through several!

Its lightly humorous how something like a logo can put so many people in a rage. I think you look lovely dear. Don't doubt yourself.

I guess it's kind-of exciting that they found a way to make Helvetica look trashy...

Also, adorable outfit. I heart the skirt.

I happen to think this outfit looks pretty cute on you! But the most important part about fashion is that you should feel comfortable in it... so just try mixing different pieces next time to see if you like the outcome more!

oh man do I know that feeling! but after way too many times of having literally MY ENTIRE WARDROBE littering the floor because I am almost reduced to tears from the non-rightness of my outfits I have learned to just go with the one I originally planned.
also it helps because jack draws a fail lock on my back and as stupid as it is it actually helps me feel better about what i'm wearing.

but anyway less me and more YOU! LOVE that top. imho nothing with sequins can EVER be frumpy, or in fact anything less than AWESOME. and sequins+bow? even more super special awesome.

also I really wanna know what you're looking at in that first photo O: mystery!

I love your glasses! I recently got my very first pair, and they're just classics black rectangular ones... I'm thinking I need a normal pair before I buy myself an extra quirky pair :P

Which reminds me, I should probably post some photos of my glasses soon... if I can be bothered gahhhhh
