Stupid Sneakers

Today's outfit was built around this thought: "Hey, I wanna wear my thigh highs tomorrow. I also wanna wear that pleated blue skirt I never wear! Let me come up with some stuff that I could wear with it!"

Needless to say, it is a highly inspired look. Thanks again to Greg, who is the Best Ever for helping me with these photos. I'll get a tripod soon, but until then, he's stuck with this awkwardness.

I'm wearing: Target thigh highs and necklace, Max Rave skirt, American Eagle tee, Old Navy cardigan, F21 sneakers.

These sneakers are pretty useless. They're almost a size too big, I don't really like the plaid pattern, and they make an odd muffled clicking when I walk in them (which of course implies high quality soles). I only wear them when I really want to wear sneakers, because these are my only pair. I should probably invest in some Converse again... sigh.

By the way, does anybody know how to make these pictures bigger in my blog? Seriously, blogger, throw me a bone here.

I love the slouchy grey shirt.

As to bigger pictures, you can only do that if you host your images on a different site and then you get into html trickiness. I suggest uploading photos to imageshack.us, letting imageshack resize them to the size that you want and copying the site html from the image and pasting that to the html section when you're writing your post. Sorry, I'm bad at explaining. It took me a long time to figure this stuff out so I try to help people out--feel free to ask questions.

No, Amelia, that totally helps! I was super lazy and didn't feel like hosting the images on other sites; that is a good idea. I know verrrry basic html so hopefully I can figure it out! Thanks. :)

Love the pop of colour of the skirt.

P.S. Bow Ties are definitely cool.

I upload hi-res images to my blogspot blogs. If you click on mine, they display at the original resolution. So set your camera to the highest resolution jpg format...

The skirt is adorable! Love the pleating, and the blue color is really great. I'm also digging the thigh highs - i haven't been brave enough to get on this bandwagon and sport a pair of my own, but you look awesome here.

Also for making your pics larger, you can import them from your computer and you get a choice of 3 sizes, small, medium, and large. If large isn't cutting it for you, then you need to use a photo housing website i.e. flickr or photobucket and resize them yourself. Let me know if you want some help with that!

Mmmm, that cardigan looks so cozy! I need to get more cardigans...

As for shoes that are 2 sizes too big: they are kinda uncomfortable, but not that much, since they are booties. I plan on putting some inserts in them when I get around to it. Plus I can wear socks with them! They were too cute to pass up!
