Baggy Eyeballs

This is me attempting to look somewhat alive after a long day of work. For some reason the 9:00 - 6:00 shift is really hard on me. I've always been better at working early and leaving early, but I suppose I'll get used to it. In the meantime I'll wear sunglasses to hide my horrendous under-eye bags. Eeeesh!

I'm wearing: H&M sweater dress, Wet Seal belt, Target tights and flats, Ralph Lauren sunglasses.

I had to run and pick up these tights on my lunch hour, because the air conditioning in our building is still on and I'm quite prone to cold. Who knows why I decided to go bare-legged today, but I did, and now I won't anymore. I was freezing all day! Thank goodness for a nearby Target. At any rate, at least I had this warm fuzzy dress to keep me somewhat cozy. I picked it up this spring at H&M, and I haven't quite been able to wear it yet. Finally the weather is agreeing with me!

So, my blogger friends, I'm having a minor dilemma. This weekend I'm going up to Seattle for a friend's bachelorette party. But woe is me, I have nothing to wear! I really don't. I'm pretty much devoid of any kind of party dresses that would fit a night of clubbing in Seattle. Do any of you think it would be super irresponsible of me to get a super cheap dress at like Forever21, even though I haven't received a full paycheck yet? Ack! I just don't know... I may have to sell some clothes at Buffalo Exchange to get the money for it. I'm super annoyed at the prospect of clubbing all night and having nothing to wear. We'll see what happens. Anyway, what would you chaps do in this situation?

You are the cutest! I'm loving this pattern mix... so as for the dress dilemma, I so would recommend doing the whole selling clothes at Buffalo Exchange to buy something new. Although F21 does have super cute dresses for like $20-$25. I'm a terrible supporting of spending money. Maybe you shouldn't listen to me :D

aww, I get under-eye bags too.
you look super-cute tho!

as far as the clubbing goes... I'm sorry, I have no idea but the Buffalo Exchange thing sounds like a good idea! but being a hermit-book nerd-geek, I'm not really much of a clubber! Haha!

Wish I looked that good after a long day at work! SUPER cute dress!!!

As far as the party dilemma...I'm sure you'll do the right thing! ;-)

That dress is gorgeous!! I know what you mean about that shift, at my job I get a bit of a later one (12-10) and can't tell you how exhausted I get after those shifts...
As for the dress situation, I say look around and see if you find something within your price range, if not try to experiment with what you have! I am sure you will look wonderful regardless of anything :)

My eyes are constantly like this at the moment early mornings and long days really aren't me but like you said I'll get used to it.

Maybe find something in your price range if you dont want to sell some of your clothes, I'm sure you'll find something :)

Maybe try a couple thrift stores first? Sometimes they hold wonderful gems! I don't like this dilemma...however, perhaps just spending somewhere around $20 or so wouldn't be so bad. However, whatever it comes down to, I'm sure you'll look good wearing it. Buona fortuna!

I'm the exact opposite, I can't cope with starting before 9am at the absolute earliest!

Love the sweater dress with the leopard flats :)

I agree with the comment above, maybe try a thrift store? Cheap & chic

I love the pattern on your dress, very navajo and the sunglasses work with it, so they're multifunctional there! I swear air conditioning in offices is the devil, I used to have to pack like a sweater and socks and a scarf in my bag so after the sweaty summertime commute on the train I could layer up for the office. Not fun!
For seattle, maybe you could borrow something from someone else going? Or try and thrift something, if all else fails, no one will blame you if you give in to Forever21.

That print looks great on you. I couldn't pull it off (though I would definitely wear the red sweater blue sneaks combo from your previous post) but I love seeing it anyway.

As for the F21 dress, it would really depend on price. If not too bad, I'd probably get it if I could. But I'm sure you can mix-and-match an awesome outfit from your current closet!

Love the dress! I'm a sucker for a good sweater dress.

I'm probably a bad person to get advice from on new clothes, since I can justify any purchase, but I do think you could find something cute on the cheap. Then you'll at least have something if you ever need to go clubbin' again.

Thank God for sunglasses on baggy eyeball days, I use them too!

On your dilemma, thats the beauty of F21, you can find super cheap dresses. If you feel bad about spending money on a dress for one occasion, look for something you will get more wears out of to stretch your penny.

But, I also have a wee little shopping problem, so I could just be dragging you down with me...so if your conscience is telling you I'm a bad influence, I probably am! :)

dilemmas, dilemmas. i would probably sell some old stuff in order to get some new duds.

this always happens to me. i just never think to buy "party clothes" until a couple of hours before i'm supposed to go out.

That. Dress. Is. Awesome. Just saying.

As for your problem, I'd say sell some things if you know for sure you want to get rid of them. But I've done the whole irresponsible purchasing without a paycheck thing quite often. Haha. Luckily Forever 21 isn't back breaking expensive, so if you have to work with imaginary money, you won't have punched a hole all the way through your wallet.

Too bad you didn't live closer, because I've seem to have accumulated quite a few going out dresses, and haven't really had the opportunities to wear them. Whoops!

First of all, like everyone else, I lvoe your dress.
Now, your dilemma... I've never been to Seattle, but don't you think you could make jeans and a party-glitter-whatever top work with intense heels and jewelry/hair?
You shouldn't have to sell wonderful clothes to acquire a new dress that might never be worn again, since you don't own anything for the occasion.

9-6? Eeeek! On a happier note, you have the most darling earrings! And, of course, your dress is awesome. Oh, sweat dresses. How I crave you. Why oh why is Atlanta still in the 90s?!

love your dress! ^^
hmm. I`ve never been to seattle, so I can`t really say much about that, but maybe try ebay? it`s got tons of cute dresses and they ain`t expensive either. :) just check out the delivery time - I think that if one lives in US, it delivers in 2-3 days. :) and you def shouldn`t sell your clothes for this occasion. :) maybe also try some thrift shops? you can find some pretty great stuff there too! :)

I know how you feel, I have no party dresses either. Maybe if you're strapped for cash you can just get some really fancy accessories to use with a dress you already have?

Your dress is amazing!!! I love the bold patterns and how wooly it is.

Hmm I've never worn dresses to go clubbing before but what do I know about clubs in the US? Perhaps you could just buy a top to go with your short skirts? It's definitely a cheaper alternative. :)

meg you look so cute and I love the dress :) Hrmm, for me I hate clubs and usually opt for a grunge look. I usually wear some kind of boots, my mini skirt, and my teenage mutant ninja turtles T. I am not much help.

Whatever you do, buy something that you will like and feel comfortable in :)

I think I'd put it in the hands of the thrifting gods-- if you find something cute, then it was meant to be. Or something vague and portentous like that.

Also, I wanted to let you know that I'm giving away a charm bracelet on my blog (I made the charms myself!). It's here: http://a-red-robin.blogspot.com/2010/09/50th-post-and-giveaway.html
