INFJ

I just took a personality test that said I was extroverted, orderly/organized, and unfriendly/rude. Uh... test? You are broken. Just so you know.

Do you guys take personality tests? I find myself endlessly intrigued by them. I've taken countless Meyers-Briggs ripoffs online, just to see if my "type" ever changes, but I always get the same results. I'd be curious to see some kind of study of style bloggers' personality types. I know the Meyers-Briggs formula is considered useless or inconclusive by many, but I'm so fascinated by how accurately my personality type describes me, and I wonder if we style bloggers all have similar or comparable personalities. Although, now that I'm thinking about it, we probably don't. That would be terrifying: an army of girls, well-dressed and all exactly the same...

I'm wearing: Dress from Gee, UO cardigan.

So this dress is super amazing and I kind of want to wear it forever! It was sent to me as part of the Wardrobe Wanderlust swap by the lovely Gee, and I'm dreading the day when we must part.

Okay all right. I admit it. I did not wear this outfit any time recently. In fact I think I took these photos over a week ago! I wasn't ever going to use them, because I think they turned out pretty badly and I was just figuring out how to take my photos so the bed wouldn't end up in them too much, so they're pretty awkward. However, I've worn this damn dress two times since then, and every time something happens where I end up unable to take photos of it. It's cursed! So I just gave up and I'm posting these. Deal with it. *sunglasses*

I would also like to share with you the fact that I had a dream about Benedict Cumberbatch last night. We were dating. Aw yeah. My subconscious rules. Subconscious high-five! What super awesome wish-fulfillment dreams have you guys had recently? [Meg's past dreams: making out with the Doctor (Ten and Eleven), Holmes/Meg/Watson sandwich, Will Smith as a classmate (??), making out with Zachary Quinto.]

I love your header and layout, girly! Did you change it? It looks wicked pretty. And so does your outfit. Who cares if it's from last week? I've done that! :x

Lovee the dress! I think the photos look fine! I love personality tests haha, although it's kinda getting annoying now since we've got a whole unit at college on personality and team roles in the workplace :( kinda spoils the fun out of it haha!

great dress! I've never really taken a personality test but you've got me wondering, and as for your dream I'm very jealous-my most recent one involved dating robert sheehan, waking up was painful!

Hey we are the same personality type! I'm an INFJ too hehe :] Yeah, but I remember I was obsessed with personality tests back in the day. So addicting.

Love Gee's dress on you! It's such a pretty color and a different shape than I've seen you wear. Pretty :]

I'm the same personality type too :D INFJ FTW!

Super-awesome-wish-fulfillment dreams have been sparse lately, I'm pregnant and having all kinds of WEIRD and CRAZY-ASS dreams though, in full movie detail and they are ODD. So strange. No bearing on my life, just weirdness.

I'm more of an ENFJ around people I know really well, INFJ around everyone else. So maybe I'm on the verge of some identity crisis, thinking I'm both. I don't know.

Anyway, I'm so happy you decided to post these pictures because I love them bunches, even with the bed playing peek-a-boo. You were just being photo bombed by your bed, that's all. Oh and this dress is pretty awesome. I'm signing up for it now. :)

just wanted to say thanks for your comment on my post.
it made me realise that perhaps I didn't come across in the way that I wanted to- my main point was in fact to ask why the media can't accept every body shape (although obviously thats a tall order). I've added in something attempting to further explain what I meant on a new post if you'd be interested but even if you're not, thanks anyway for that because it's made me realise I should've explained my point a bit further, rather than risk offending anyone or anything like that. bea x

very cute dress. I can see why you dont want to part with it. My subconscious has not produced any awesome wish-fulfillment dreams. What the hell subconscious?!?

HAH! Sounds like an awesome dream. I always have crazy fucked up dreams that never make any sense. For example, last night I dreamt that I was running away from the law because I killed some guy by accident and I had a little robot (that looked like Wall-E) that was my intelligence. He helped me find good hiding spots in an area that looked a lot like the Arathi Highlands.

Anyway, dream envy. Also, dress envy - you look fabulous!

phew! but no to be honest looking back I didn't get across what I meant too well, and your comment made me realise!
btw I dont think you came across as preachy at all but I suddenly thought 'oh shit, what if everyone thinks I'm a bit of an idiot for thinking that'! and anyway I'm glad we got that figured out! bea xx

Last time I checked I was an INTJ. Then I took it again and got the same thing. So I think I'm that.

ACK that dress. I'm coming over to steal it! (Not really, kind of.)

I recently dreamed that I made out with Coach Taylor from Friday Night Lights. It was so good.

Such a cute dress on you! And, girl, I would kill to have those dreams, haha.

the very reason why i started following your blog is because of your love for all things doctor who and fashiony as well. haha

we appear to have a lot in common! i am an INTJ, and i am insanely infatuated with ten & eleven and zachary quinto as well. nommmmmm.

That dress looks really cute on you! :)

I haven't really done any personality tests recently, I used to do all the ones in magazines religiously...but I have to admit I still do the 'relationship' ones now! xxx

Love the dress! It looks super cute.

You just made me realize I can't remember having ANY dreams lately. What gives, subconscious? I feel cheated.

Holy cow, that dress is AWESOME on you!
And double holy cow, I am jealous you had a Zachary Quinto make out dream. The best wish fulfilment dream I've had recently was Matthew Gray Gubler trying to court me. Of course, he didn't have to try very hard. Dream me (and, maybe, real me) is quite a push over in the face of adorable boys.

Meg that dress is perfect for your lil body and I love it!!!
I love the new layout and header too! Very classy and Meg.

Dude your subconscious rules!!! I ONCE dreamed that Rivers was taking classes at OU and we made out. He said that he loved me, then told me he was married. I also dreamed once that Agent Mulder saved me from a broken carnival ride, that was pretty cool :)

dude, i freaking love personality tests! i think they're so fascinating and i could spend hours reading about my supposed personality. I haven't taken one in about a year, but I'm an ISFP. I think it's pretty accurate.

Oh, and can your subconscious please teach my subconscious how to be awesome? I never remember my dreams, but I'm pretty sure I've never had a dream about making out with ZQ, which is a tragedy.

This dress looks awesome on you. Except now I'm nervous because it's going to be SO SHORT on me! :(

WONDERFUL dress. I love the outfit. I'm also an INFJ, and it never ever changes. I find personality tests totally fascinating!

So I had to take a test before commenting here... and I think the test I took was worded by an 8 year old who just started picking big words of of a thesaurus, so I'm not sure how accurate it is..... but apparently i'm an ISFJ. What to do with that information, I don't even know. haha.

You're crazy for thinking this pictures turned out bad, because I'm of the opinion they look good as hell! Especially that last one. That's definitely a dress worthy of multiple wears... color/pattern is just flawless.

INFJs unite! I've just started reading your blog recently. I look forward to it. Sometimes when I read it I'm like "That woman thinks/writes a lot like me." Now I know why.

I love that dress Meg! It reminds me of faeries. You should just keep it, I won't tell ;) :p

I love personality tests too! I haven't done one in the longest time. Our media teacher made us do the one you did... All I can remember was I was an extrovert. It was so accurate on it's description of me at the end and possible careers etc... aw now I wanna find it again.

I giggled at army of girls, well dress and all the same. Mean girls!

the way you feel re: personality tests = the way i feel about horoscopes. endlessly fascinating. one of my friends is basically an astrologer, and while i would never take it that seriously i have to admit that most scorpio-isms (?) are pretty spot-on in my case.

Victoria / Justice Pirate said...

I haven't taken a personality test because I'm pretty goofy but boring and bland and weird and crazy and too serious all wrapped up. haha. You however have an amazing personality and don't need to take one. Let me tell you that you seem gregarious and sensational and I adore you.

This dress ads to your personality by the way.

Sorry I'm being a weirdo and commenting on an older post, but I really like your blog and have been going back and reading the old entries.

I just had say something here because I think the Myers-Briggs/Keirsey-Bates personality tests are the most accurate ones I've come across. My mom is a marriage and family therapist (and an INFJ), and when she was still in grad school, she gave the Myers-Briggs test to me and my boyfriend at the time (now my husband) for a class project. My result was INTJ, and my husband's was ENFP. I thought the description of ENFP was so RIGHT for him, and I relate a lot to the INTJ description, although when I've retaken the test, I've also gotten INFJ and INTP.

I read David Keirsey's book Please Understand Me II a while back and enjoyed it a lot. I like how he breaks down the 16 types into four groups and writes about the goals that motivate them and how they use language and "tools" differently.

Ummm...okay, well, this comment is really long and will probably come off as creepy, but in closing, I think the Myers-Briggs test is fascinating and I feel like reading about the different types has helped me learn how to relate to people better.
