Wake Up in the Late Afternoon

Oh man. So many awkward things about my shoot today. Firstly, I was super slow about getting dressed today (I woke up at 3:30pm), so my photos didn't take place until the sun was low in the sky. Which means, brighter light and more shadows! Super annoying. Also there were some women sitting on a bench across the street, and I was totally awkward about posing and smiling for my self-timed camera. Thus my serious expressions; I was so embarrassed. Apparently I thought not smiling would direct attention away from my posing and photographing?

I'm wearing: Target skirt, American Eagle shirt, thrifted scarf as belt, Blowfish booties, necklace from Greg.

I'm sorry I look so angry in most of these! Greg hates it when I do the "emo" look, as he puts it. I just feel silly smiling for a camera with nobody behind it. Is that ridiculous of me? No less ridiculous than standing out on the sidewalk taking pictures of my clothes, I guess!

I loved all of your suggestions for TV shows I should watch. I do love The Big Bang Theory, especially the episodes with Wil Wheaton as a guest star. Geek lurve! If you guys like Big Bang Theory, you should definitely check out The IT Crowd. It's a British comedy, and the writing is incredible; it's so freaking hilarious. Look it up on Youtube for clips or full episodes. It's so worth your time!

Oh, am dying for a job; I itch to play Lego Harry Potter but it belongs to my friend, so I can't play it unless I'm with her, and I can't afford my own copy. So frustrating and sad! I was so happy to hear so many of you love the Lego games, though. Aren't they the best? So cute and fun! And hilarious! I can't wait to play the rest of HP, it should be pretty awesome. Any other fun video games you guys love?

Oh I totally know how you feel about the photoshoot thing, geez though your photos are great you'd never think they were taken with a timer! I get my boyfriend to take mine and even though there's never anyone around (we live in the country) I still feel so awkward and shy!

OH yes, still very awkward in front of the camera if other people are around. That's why I run deep into the woods to take my pics, lol! Some days I think I should just set up on the sidewalk and tell people I'm a model... and then see who actually believes me ;)

And... nice scarf/belt!

I so totally hate doing the tripod timer thing too. I even hate just doing it in my backyard when I know no one can see me, I still just feel awkward. Anyways, I love this outfit! And your hair is so pretty! I wish my hair would dry in lovely curls. Mine gets more of a poofy/frizzy wave which needs much taming (and i get too annoyed with my hair when i try) to do that).

i almost always use a self-timer/tripod & it seems like my neighbors are always watching when i'm taking my outfit shots. at first i felt awkward, but now i've just resigned myself to the idea that they probably think i'm immensely odd.

Love your outfit! Super chic and cool. I sometimes feel silly smiling for a self-timed camera, but I sing little songs in my head and they usually help.

I can totally relate with the photoshoot thing. I lug around my tripod and just set up where ever I think is a good secluded spot. It's so awkward posing when there are people around. Gah!

Anyway, don't you just love waking up in the afternoon? I love it. I get to skip the whole morning drag boringness. Hehehe! :)

I think the lego games are amazing! I can even recall my first experience with one...

My friends and I were browsing the electronic section at WalMart and I saw that Lego Star Wars was hooked up to one of their TV's to try. So I went over there and started playing it, thinking the two guys with me followed along. About two minutes in, I hear someone over my shoulder say, very seductively I might add, "Mmmmm, Lego Star Wars." I laughed and went to say something thinking it was one of my friends, but no. Just some random middle-aged guy lingering over me at an extremely uncomfortable distance. Not creepy at all.

I've loved the Lego games ever since.
