Ka'plah!

Ka'plah is Klingon for "success."

I'm wearing: Heather's dress from F21, Hot Topic t-shirt, H&M cardi.

Another WW swap item today! I can't get enough. It's like Christmas, only better. This time I'm wearing Heather's dress; check out how she styled it on New Year's Eve! I love this dress to death. When I saw it on the F21 website a while back I wanted it in red so badly, but never got around to ordering it because I'm terrified of strapless things. So when Heather put it up for swap, I was on that shit like a Klingon on Uranus. I think I totally nailed it with the Trek shirt underneath. Whatcha think?

I'm also continuously playing around with saturation, white balance, and contrast with my photos on here. Sorry if they're a bit inconsistent at times, but I guess I edit them according to what I feel will fit the outfit best. And also according to how shitty the light is in my room. Whatevs.

Heh heh heh did you get my reference to that Klingon/Uranus joke? Heh heh...

I am loving how you styled this dress. I'm all intimidated by strapless dresses as well, but I think you look lovely in this one! And I agree with Amanda, that last photo is superb!

Indeed, I think you've hit the nail on the head with the Trekkie shirt. I love the monochromatic black, too. It's always a good choice.

So cute, this is beyond nerd chic, it's classy nerd chic!

This is so freakin' cute. I wish I could layer strapless dresses over t-shirts, but it makes my boobs look really awful. But yours look smashing! I mean that in a completely non-awkward way.

I love how great this is! The dress with the t-shirt underneath is such a great combo. ♥

I am so beyond pissed that it took me this damn long to get to this post! BAH.

Anyways, I am probably in love with you right now for this post. My dad is a HUGE star trek guy and he even has little star trek ships on the xmas tree, one even plays "Live long, and prosper" in Spock's voice. I love the whole outfit on you! The dress shows off your itty bitty waist and you look sleek in all black! :):)

whenever i think of klingon, i think of the scene in garden state where they're at the breakfast table with the guy in the knight costume.

anyway, i quite like this, meg! the only thing that could make it better is if it were a star wars t-shirt instead of a star trek :)

Hey there! Just stumbled upon your blog, (Not with stumbleupon, but just surfing the net I guess!) and I'm so glad I did! I've gone through two pages of just straight reading of your blog, and I'm loving it. I love your sense of style, it always looks really effortless, cute, and comfortable. But I have to say my favourite part of your blog is your commentary. You have a certain sharp wit to your writing, which is really entertaining. Sorry if I'm venturing into fan-girl territory, just wanted to say keep up the awesome posts! (PS, loving the Star Trek/Harry Potter references!)

I have a similar dress I got from Vinnies (2nd hand charity shops in Australia) for $8 that doesn't fit me properly, in red. If you like I can photo it and perhaps post it to you? It's an Australian size 8 (I don't know how that converts...)
let me know!
