Donnerstag

Welcome to Thursday! How did it become Thursday so quickly? It seems like seconds ago that I was just lamenting the woes of Tuesday. Oh well, the faster time flies, the sooner my mom arrives in Portland to visit me! I'm so excited; I can't wait to show her my new home.

I'm wearing: Old Navy dress, thrifted scarf as belt, Aldo shoes.

I've discovered that candy makes me feel ill. It used to be my favorite thing in the world; I could devour a bag of Skittles in moments. But last night I opened a bag of Skittles that's been lying around the apartment for about a week, and I couldn't even finish it! What even! Oh well, it's healthier this way... I guess. Sigh.

Had another interview today, and I think it went rather well. We'll see within the next couple days. Wish me luck and such!

I'm due to go to a happy hour with my best friend and neighbor, so I shan't say much more, but I do want to say thank you to all of my new (and old) readers! I love and appreciate each and every comment I receive on my blog, and I try to reciprocate in kind. Every comment gives me the warm fuzzies. I love you all! Thank you! ♥

Ok, first all...your boyfriend's comment is so sweet!

I love that you did a scarf as a belt! I did that a week or so ago, and it definitely did not look as good as this. GOOOOD LUCK on the interview :]

Dresses with pockets are the best ever. I should wear mine more. I love pockets. I almost said "pockets with dresses" but I suppose that works too. :P

How cute!
And ironically, I'm eating sour skittles as I type this.

Can't wait to see the new interview!

I'm so happy I found your blog, it makes me smile, you've got such a lovely style of writing! I bet you're excited for you Mum to visit, when I was living away from home (on the other side of the world, literally) I yearned for my mother to visit so I could show her my home. Skittles make me ill too, first it was headaches and now I feel completely nauseous, even with the red ones. Nevermind!! Thank you for entertaining me on this grey Friday morning, i'm going to add you to my reading list :)

Ahh sour skittles - ours in the UK are rubbish - the sourness is in the middle and no way near as sour. When I was in the states earlier this year I bought so many packets - crazy! I'm currently munching on some twizzlers my uncle in Texas sent me recently - I find I can eat disgusting amounts of those are they're not too sweet and can prop in my mouth easily as I work! Haha - God Lulu stop talking about sweets! Love your dress and your kookiness is just lovely! x

Very cute. i love that simple black dress with a really interesting belt. Adds great style.

Candy makes me ill as well...too much sugar for me even though I do love me some sour skittles (and skittles in general).

oh man i LOVE the way your scarf looks as a belt. how did you manage to tie it so nice and flat?
I mean, I've used the scarf-as-belt thing before but I always just knot it loosely around my hips, or in a bow at my waist because anything else looks weird D:

p.s. loving the blog! totally stalking you now.
