Mmmm Bagel...

Hai guys! What's up with you on this fine Friday evening? I hope you have something badass planned, and if not, I hope you at least eat some ice cream and watch a movie, because that's what Friday's all about. All I'm doing is seeing my mom later... no big deal. Except that it is! I'm so excited!

Also, I could really go for a bagel right now. Toasted, plain, with some cucumber and red onion cream cheese. I miss Bagels on Broadway. They didn't make bagels the correct way, but they were so delicious, and the only place in Missoula to get decent bagels. Greg worked there and he would sometimes bring me free bagels. One time he gave me two huge bags of bagels and cream cheese to bring to work! It was amazing; everybody loved me best at work that day. Bagels.

I'm wearing: Target skirt and shoes, Old Navy tee, thrifted belt.

This skirt is ridiculous, and I only still wear it because the floral pattern is amazing with super awesome colors. My problem with it is that the elastic got all wonky somehow, so it's kinda like... twisted, and the fabric does not hang properly from it. The nature of the waist also makes it so that my waist looks two sizes bigger than it actually is, which is annoying, because my waist is my only asset. Wah! And yet I wear this skirt... because I have pretty much only two skirts.

BAGEL. I wish Greg was a bagel summoner instead of just a bagel baker, because then he could summon me a freshly baked bagel including cream cheese, and I could eat it while watching him play the FFXIV beta. BAGEL. Bagel... bagel.

The elastic in my skirt that is like that, but a different print, would also get messed up. So I went around every couple inches and sewed a vertical line to keep the elastic in place so it would stop twisting.

The Bagels on Broadway cucumber and red onion cream cheese is the best!

WELL Rose, mine is now fucked up beyond repair. And not everyone can be as smart as you with your sewing skills! <3

You're not the only one with skirt malfunctions today. I've been having a love/hate relationship with this skirt I'm wearing all day because the tiers are making my hips quite a bit more noticeable... haha.

The pattern looks really cute on you though! And I'm lovin' on those cheetah print shoes!

Ugh, it's really annoying when the elastic gets all twisted up inside the casing. If you have a sewing machine, you could try running a zigzag stitch the whole way around to hold it in place, maybe.

Everyone looks at me funny for this, but my favorite bagel combination is a raisin bagel with lox cream cheese. I know raisins and fish don't really sound like they go together, but I swear it's delicious.

Hehehe, i loved your bagel rant. I'm a fan of bagels too and i do crave them quite often so I feel your pain.

Im so in love with the pattern of your skirt as well! And i don't think it makes your waist look wide at all, it looks great on you!

You should come with me sometime to get a bagel from Kenny and Zuke's. I've never had one of their bagels and they look might good.

Love the skirt+belt combo! And you're making me miss my leopard print flats. :/

You cannot get decent bagels anywhere near where I live. ANYWHERE. Yet another reason why I can't wait for my NYC trip! You look fab, as always x

Hehe. I was going to say; all you're doing is seeing your mom? Seriously, bagel making should be a national priority and not generally reserved to locations with high bagel making Jewish populations. In a perfect world...

Anyway, I LOVE you skirt! The print is so cute! But the waist band sounds dreadful. I'm not sure if this would help you at all, but once when one of my elastics got twisted my mom cut a slit in the waist band so that we could twist the elastic back to its normal flat/un-wonky self. Oh, and awesome shoes! Love the pattern.

So I totally have the same target skirt but in a lighter floral color print. It did the same thing with the waist. I'm glad to see other people offer you some suggestions because they might help me out too!

I love the combination of patterns with your shoes/skirt. Very cute!
