It seems my bangs are in desperate need of a trim. I don't really need to see though, do I? Nor does anybody need to know that I possess eyes.
I'm wearing: F21 dress and cardigan, thrifted belt, Blowfish booties, necklace from my dad.
I am officially tired of all of my clothes. It's not even that I'm just tired of them; they simply don't suit my desired style right now. It's extremely frustrating. I'm sure you all understand the feeling. You spend half an hour rummaging through your wardrobe, digging through the same set of clothes each time, yet you keep hoping something new and unexpected will show up. Well, it never does. So you throw something on that just doesn't feel right, regardless of how good it may look on you. Well that's how I feel today. I like how the outfit looks on me, but it doesn't make me feel the way I want my clothes to make me feel. It doesn't express me the way I want it to. And that is extremely frustrating to me.
I've been feeling this way a lot, lately. And it's awful, because I'm not sure how to fix it, aside from just buying a ton of new clothes. Problem is, I don't have the money for that. How do you deal with it when your entire wardrobe just doesn't feel right? It's so discouraging; I'd love to hear your input.

Sigh. I feel you on the bangs thing. I'd trim them myself, but I'm terrified I'd butcher them. So I'm stuck waiting until Saturday for sweet salvation in the form of my hairdresser's magic scissors.
I'm digging the no eyes look this season though.
I know you feel discouraged by your wardrobe, but I think you always look great, put together, but not in a weird matchy-matchy way. I love that dress and the cardigan!
i go though this problem ALL the time. its horrible. i feel like after i wear sometime four or five times it no longer makes me feel confident about it because it's old i guess. how i deal with this problem is i shop online until i find one thing that i must have or ill die. and i buy it if the price allows. and ill do this once or twice a month depending on how much i work so at least ill always have something new that i can style with my older clothes. also i sell old clothes every season to consignment shops and use the money i get to buy new clothes.
i have this problem all the time. but i love your hair and this outfit. i am a big fan of mixing anything and everything. xoox

I can totally relate to this post. I get these times where I put an outfit together that there's really nothing wrong with, but it just doesn't feel right. I generally just try to keep looking until I find something that does feel right.
Anyway, I really like this outfit. The dress and cardigan are both adorable.
I've been feeling the same way about my wardrobe. The only solution I can think of is to do a swap with a friend or another style blogger. It's an easy way to get some new clothes with just the cost of shipping!
I can totally relate to this.
I hate staring into a bulging wardrobe thinking "I've got nothing to wear"...
Have you heard of the 30 for 30 challenge that Kendi Everyday started?
Basically you pick 30 items from your wardrobe (including shoes) and that's all you can wear from 30 days. It's to get you to think about how you can get more wear out of what you already have...From the participants blogs I've read they all really enjoy it & found it very helpful for a new perspective...I'm going to give it a go when summer arrives here!
Just became a follower :)
This is exactly how I feel right now!! I mean I know I buy new pieces (though I think they're all jewelry and a new pair of shoes) and I keep thinking "do people really want to see this AA skirt or shirt again? And that new shirt I got keeps sitting in my closet yelling "pair me with something cool!" and I have to respond with "I have no idea what to wear with you, sit in time out for another day".
But hey, this is what I try to work through with this project I have. I mean that's partly why I take a skirt and slide it up underneath my pits and make it a top. Tbh I don't think it looks great on me because I have linebacker shoulders but hey! that's all part of the fun.
Eventually I just have to pinch myself and tell myself that I have to wear something outside...even though it's blistering hot again and I want to run outside naked.
Actually, that last part wasn't entirely true. The asphalt would burn the bottoms of my feet, and that would not be good.
You'll come out of your funk eventually (as will I), and then we will all look gorgeous (though we already all, yes all of us ladies, look gorgeous anyway) and love our closets again.
I like your outfit regardless of the situation. I have that same problem too, but I just try to remember about the clothes that make ME happy. I also like to experiment with my look like hair, make-up, etc. Simple things like that can help you feel a lot different.
I deal with this every time a season change rolls around, especially summer fading into winter. Usually I take a night to myself and try to come up with new and interesting combinations with the clothes I do have, and make a list of things I feel are missing. Then, when money allows, buy those missing items. Usually it takes getting something new to give all the old things an upbeat twist!
OH! And since I forgot to respond on twitter.... Ommwriter is this beta word processor program that allows you to pick an image for the background (so, say instead of plain white like MS word, you could pick a snowy landscape to type on instead), you can also pick the noise keytyping makes, and ambiance music for the background. I find the music EXTREMELY helpful because even the smallest environment noise distracts me for at least 20 minutes.
I mean, I know it's something you won't write your whole novel on... but it's my favorite thing to use for my "scratch" writing when I don't have my composition notebook right on hand.
All you have to do is google it, and it should be the first link. I'm interested in hearing what your novel is going to be about!

Ooh I'm so happy you dropped by my blog so I could DISCOVER you! Haha, I love your style! You rock color combos. I'm loving the brown/black/purple extravaganza. It's purdy awesome.
I love those boots. I've been trying to find something similar for ages but haven't had any luck yet.
It's horrible when you don't want to wear any of your clothes. I'm kind of going through the same thing because most of my clothes no longer fit since I've lost weight :/
I have to second the person upthread who recommended having a swap. A friend of mine holds swaps twice a year at her house, where everyone brings a bag or two of clothes they're not wearing, and we all get to rummage through the giant pile for new stuff. This works best if you can get at least a dozen people involved, but it does work-- I've gotten some of my favorite clothes at swaps.
I like your style!
I have that issue all the time but then I buy new clothes and end up not liking those either, I think it's the curse of a fashion concious girl unfortunately. Saying that though, I really love what you're wearing. A great colour dress and I love the boots. Maybe you just need some new inspiration to use your wardrobe differently.
I feel your pain. That happens to me all the time. Eventually I just seem to snap out of it. For me, I think it's more of a "wardrobe block" (like writer's block, only with your closet) and I just feel so uninspired.
So, a few things from your new stalker... er, I mean follower.
"I'll be the new Stephanie Meyer or Christopher Paolini: hated by millions, loved by 13-year-olds, responsible for awful awful movies. It is my DREAM."
As I'm sure you gather, I just read your about me section. I spent most of the time reading it laughing to myself (I'm totally awesome like that). And in reference to the above quote, I officially LOVE YOU. It really did make my night. I mean this in a super good way: you remind me of Tina Fey's character on 30 Rock!
Anyway, on to the actual post that I'm commenting on... What a fun outfit! The cardigan is just adorable, your hair is awesome, even if you think your bangs are too long. With regards to the I'm-sick-of-all-my-clothes-and-they-aren't-me-anymore-feeling... eek! That's the worst! I haven't found the magic cure yet, although sometimes buying one awesome shiny new accessory that you can pair with everything makes it all seem a bit less awful. Hopefully your wardrobe starts to seem new and exciting asap! I must admit, even if you're unhappy with your clothing lately, you still look adorable in all of your latest posts!
Oh my gosh you are sooo cute. Really in love with this whole look!! Girl I get the same bang problem too. They are always catching in my eyelashes and causing some serious irratation. I HATE it. But I love my bangs. So win lose? I suppose soo!
Also I'm having totally wardrobe block lately also. I am SO over summer, come on fall I'm ready for all your fashion goodies!
I love your dress so much! I know exactly what you mean about being bored of my clothes. Have you ever done a clothes swap?? It always inspires me. haha. It's amazing how just one piece can give you a thousand new ideas.
And your about me is so cute/funny/witty/awesome.
thanks for your comment!
I quite like how your bangs look but yeah, I hate that irritating feeling where they're just in your eyes all the fucking time.
Ugh, I'm going through the same thing with my wardrobe. Sick of everything! Oh well, it will pass. Hopefully.
This dress is cute. I love purple!
I know what you mean though, I have lots of clothes but never anything to wear.
